Schools and colleges

Good careers provision is crucially important to schools and colleges as it is central to their mission of positive student progression.  Careers education and guidance can offer so much within an educational setting, but it can be a complex and demanding world to navigate.  I offer face-to-face services to help schools/colleges to deliver their career programmes, but am also passionate at working ‘behind the scenes’ to build lasting change through careers education consultancy.

I have worked successfully with a number of schools and further education providers and would be delighted to bring my experience to you.  I truly value the chance to share my enthusiasm about careers with a wide variety of students, families and staff.  I am pleased to receive consistently positive feedback from my clients.

I can come into your school/college to offer your students any combination of 1:1 coaching, talks, group sessions and workshops on a range of topics (please see below).  I specialise in helping 16-19 year old students to navigate the complex world of post-18 options and make aspirational and achievable choices.

I also offer careers education consultancy and can help your school/college to develop your careers strategy and to successfully embed careers into all areas of the curriculum.  With the increased focus on careers and the implementation of the Gatsby benchmarks, there has never been a better time for schools and colleges to review and refresh their careers provision.  My enthusiasm for careers education is combined with a real understanding of educational challenges on the front line and my goal is always to find a win-win situation for students and schools.  As part of my careers education consultancy I also offer ‘train the trainer’ sessions with key staff to increase the confidence of teachers and tutors in supporting your students with their career decisions.

Example topics for talks and workshops include:

All of my talks and workshops are adapted to the audience and situation and I never give the same talk twice.  The below list should serve as an example of the sort of talks and workshops I offer, but it is certainly not exhaustive!
